I'm a day late and a dollar short this week.  I missed "Whats on you Workdesk Wednesday".  It's Thursday already.  This week is getting away from me.

So here's my work space today and the beginnings of my next project.  I started on the stack of woolen fabric.  Not sure where it's going but I started with a couple of small squares, then added some netting and a button.  I'm thinking of using the houndstooth for the backing.  I'm planning on some hand embroidery, something I can work on in the evenings.

That's it for today, thanks for visiting.

Back soon.

Ooh nice ideas popping up here; I am so impressed that you can start without knowing where it's going - such a skill.
Really enjoyed your article about the sketchers - I havbe a pair of the Mary Janes too and I'm definitely convinced!

Houndstooth is a very good choice as the backing.... can't wait to see more

Love the texture of the fabric. Love the artwork in your last post, too.

I like the start of this piece. You have some very nice fabrics cut for it. I think the houndstooth will be the perfect backing. I almost missed the netting and am glad you mentioned it. Since I'm so late getting here, I had a look around your blog and I love, love, love what I see. You make fantastic fabric art. I will be back often, and NOT just on Wednesday. Speaking of which, I was #1 this week and still the latest of the late.
