I've taken some time away from my postings. Rethinking about where I was going with my blogging and Etsy account. A little discouraged, cause things aren't selling. Also, a little wound up with "Challenges" and not focusing on what I really enjoy doing the most. That is just creating whatever comes to mind, not meeting a deadline or someone else's idea. Frustrated with the lack of time, a day job and commute leaves little time for what I enjoy most. I guess just a little down, and everything seems a little overwhelming, also saddened after my trip with my sister. I'm losing my sister, my best friend, my confidant.
Enough, I just need time to get lost in my art. It makes the world go away, it's the best escape. Hopefully I'll get some time this weekend. I started a project a couple weeks ago for my daughter's beach house. We found an old picture of my mothers graduating class from Bay City, Oregon Class of 1927. I'm working it into a collage on an 8 x 8 canvas.
I haven't been totally idle, I did finish a small collage on canvas, and another Asian themed piece. I found some fabric with Chinese letters and wanted to try it out in a collage.
