Home doing what I love

WOW,  I've been home all weekend, other then a nice long walk yesterday I have not left the house.   This hasn't happened much lately.  I miss my ME time in my sewing room.  And sew is what I've been doing.  Finished my sweatshirt, just need to finish editing the pictures and I will have it posted in the next couple of days.

I've been home but my honey has been out with my nephew at the weekend Antique and Collectible show.  And look what he brought me.

Two awesome bags of buttons.  I use alot of buttons in my collages.  This was a really good mix, with even some really large buttons.
And a Paddington Bear for my collection.

I also had some time this morning to cruise through some blogs, and found some really great ideas.  Janet over at Just Me And My Art, carved stamps out of really inexpensive erasers.  Hanna, of ihanna had a list of some great new sites to check out, found some new blogs I'll have to go back and check again.  Susan at Little Imperfections has a collection in a frame,  I was facinated with the frame she altered.  Take a look.   Then there was Jane's Tulip Quilt, at Moxey Musings,  and Kel at X facta alway has the right words.  There are so many great sites to visit and so little time.

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Thanks for visiting.

That looks like such a lovely collection of buttons. I've never used buttons in my collages, but a big pile like that might inspire me to start!

I stuck pretty close to home myself this weekend and worked on some projects - but mostly the cleaning, organizing kind! Glad to do it, though! What sweet gifts from your honey!

FIRST, thank you SO much for visiting so many times lately. I have been SO busy, I didn't even post yesterday. I wanted to let you know how grateful I am for your visits and your lovely comments.

Second, your hubby knows exactly how to please you. Wonderful old buttons with the patina already on them. And that car in the next post post down is simply amazing. I only wish I could draw. Yours is awesome!!
