Small Project

I have to show you what I was working on this weekend.  I had these small squares of wood my honey cut for me from some scraps left from a project he made.   I thought surely I could do something with them.  So this weekend I got them out to play with.  This is what I came up with.  They measure not even 4 inches by 4 inches with the copper wire and will stand alone.  I finished the sides and back with pages torn from an old romance novel and signed them on the back.  I thought they would be a great size to add to my stuff for the Art and Wine Fair I am doing in July at the English Estate Winery here in Vancouver, WA.

Fun project, although I do say that about most art projects.  I just love making stuff.  When I get started on something new the ideas just keep coming.  I can't wait to get back into my workspace.  I still have 4 more little blocks.

Thanks for letting me share with you, and thanks for visiting.

These are great and I agree it is good to have something smaller or less expensive so there is something for everybody that comes to your market.

Did you use papers and then embellish them or did you paint and draw? Regardless the look is whimsical and creative. I adore it.

Super cute! And at that size and being able to stand alone, you could put them just about anywhere!
