Tearing paper again

I haven't posted much on Wednesday's lately, but I'm in the middle of some major paper tearing so here's what the work space looks like.  I've got one more piece to make by next Wednesday for the gallery show. I kind of have a start but don't have all the pieces yet.  Takes a few days of playing with different papers and fabric before it starts coming together.  I'm trying to work in some of the  blue paper beads I made.  You can see the piece I'm working on to the right in the picture, the blue on black.

Here's one I have finished and framed.
Lots of "fiber" for a fiber arts show.

It's WOYWW, so to see what other artist have on their workspace today hop over to Julia's site.  It's always fun to see what everybody else is working on.

Thanks for visiting.  Come back soon, I'll show you my finished pieces before I submit them for the show.

I just started with paper beads - I love how you incorporated them right into mixed media pieces. I am going to try that... I love where my art has gone since I have embraced repurposing books and paper!!! Such a natural for a writer-artist.

Good luck with your upcoming gallery show!!

Really like the added element of the horizontal lines. It gives it an interesting addition of tension to the design.

Your work is beautiful. I would not have found your site save for your comment on my post about my mom's death. Thank for for that - I know it's something we all face, but it's still good to hear from someone who has had a like experience. It's a little harder to work through than I had expected.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Your fiber art collages are gorgeous. So intriguing since I'm a textile girl too! You are very creative. I following you now. xo Terah

Very nice. Just the word "paper" excites me, and "tearing" paper...well, I love it, something strangely soothing about ripping paper, reshaping it, repurposing it.

That framed piece looks great. The stamps on it, the colours, well, just everything really, draws me in.
