Sunny Thursday

Finally we are getting some summer.  It has been beautiful and warm for several days now.  Yeah!!!

I'm finally reprogrammed from my weekend in San Francisco with my grandson.  We had a great time, the weather was beautiful.  We walked hills, wharf, cruised Chinatown, rode the cable car and floated under the Golden Gate Bridge.  His favorite part was Chinatown.  He laughed on take off and again on our bumpy landing.  No fear of flying like his Mom.  He loved it.

Not easy to shop for my stuff with a kid in tow but I did manage to pick up a few things to use in my collages. I could have spend much more time in Chinatown searching for stuff for my stash.  I found a little book of stencils with Chinese Symbols.  I do love using symbols in my art, especially on my handmade cards.  I'm going to try folding paper origami Geisha Girls.
I missed posting on Wednesday for WOYWW but here's what I am working on now.   More handmade cards with my collages.  They are such fun and give me the chance to use allot of my smaller scraps.  Hate to waste any of my handmade papers.  My cards did sell well at the Art Fair a couple weeks ago, so I think I am safe making more.
Here's a close up of the verse.  I really couldn't resist it when I ran across it recently.  I try to make my cards kinda generic as far as what they can be used for,  no Happy Birthdays or any other greetings.
Hope your week is going well, and thanks for visiting.

Glad you had a good holiday! That chinese symbols book will definitely be useful. At least you'll know the meaning of the symbols used rather than risking embarrassment!! Love the quote on the card, that could well apply to Mrs. Dunnit you know :D xx
