Chinese Proverb

My little Zen calendar message yesterday was:  "What the eye does not see the heart does not mourn".   Do you suppose this could mean the dust on the top of the refrigerator, or the dust bunnies floating around on the floor?  Probably not, but just a thought.

This last weekend was busy and they seem to be all that way lately.  We just finished the season of youth football,  my 13 year old grandson's team won the Division Championship Saturday.  It was so exciting to see how they have learned the game over the last few years.  To see them out there knowing how to play and respond without coaches telling them what to do on every move.  Next year he'll be playing for his High School.

Saturday and Sunday was also the 2011 Market Affair in Camas.  So my days were spent at my table.  Not a great sale but made some great contacts and signed up for a Women's Business Holiday Showcase in December in Portland at McMenamins Kennedy School.  Not really a school anymore but a restored building that houses several Pubs, a Restaurant, Lodging and a Spa.  We stayed one night a while back, the rooms are the old restored class rooms, with chalk boards and all.  Fun place.  The only school I know that you can sleep in class.

I can't complain about the weekend sale, I made my rent fee plus a couple of cool trades.  Each sale is a learning experience.  It just wasn't as busy as I had hoped.  This was my first outing with my Doodles.  I had some Christmas cards and gift tags.  Plus some of my other collages.  Sold a few.

I filled some of my She Who Doodles mugs with cocoa, cookies and biscotti then wrapped in cellophane with a bow.   I will do more of these at the next sale.

On to more doodles, I need to find a printer that can do art prints.  I submitted a couple of pieces to a gallery show in December titled "Fantasia".   Things related to fantasy, whimsy, dreams.  So I thought my Doodles fell into this category, especially She Who Doodles.  But I don't want to sell my originals so I thought I'd get some prints made, just not sure where to go.

That's all my news for today.  Hope you are all having a great week.  Thanks for visiting.

Happy Tuesday! How fun to go to local ball games and know who is playing :) ... It's quintessential autumn to be at one of those games!
Sounds like you had success with your mugs! Maybe could fill one with some pens and it would be a great gift for a doodler :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I just love these mugs! You commented on my blog that you wanted to find some of the lemon meringue pie tea that I featured. If you click on the banner just below my blog header you can order it from there. They are having a sale right now, use the coupon code just above the banner and you'll get the sale price... and I'll get a commission! Thanks!

sounds very busy over at your house, I have always wanted to be able to go to a football game and know someone on the team who is playing, I only had a girl, and she was never interested in any sports. Love the mugs

Congratulations to your grandson, Cyndee! I love how your table looks and I'm sure those mugs would make a great gift! I've done craft fairs and they are very unpredictable. Thank goodness gift-giving time is here!
