I had never heard the word until I finished the first layer of my latest collage.  I had used old dictionary pages to cover the wood box.  After adding many other layers this word stood out very clear.  So I had to look it up to see what it meant,  "Clearly expressed or presented; easy to understand. Expressing oneself clearly and effectively." When I told my honey the meaning he said "isn't that what you do with your art?"

So here it is Perspicuous, finished.

Here's a little closer look.

 Remember the first layer?

I really struggled with this piece at times.  But it finally came together.  The words all relate to the title "Perspicuous".   I did enjoy making this, all the layers, it almost becomes a challenge to see what else you can add, another piece of handmade paper, some more tulle or as on the finish piece some burlap threads partly attached and hanging off the edge.

Thanks to all that have been following along with this project, and offered encouragement when I came to a roadblock.

I already have 2 more projects on my desk, one a ipod case for my grandson and the other a couple of little wood birdhouses i'm planning to cover and embellish.

Thanks for visiting.

Oh, I LOVE this, Cyndee! I think it might be my favorite of all your projects (and that's saying a lot!) (Cyndee, please consider turning off word verification. Google has made them so hard to say that I've tried 4 times without success. Switched from my Typepad to my Google account and crossing my fingers it goes through this time!)

Your work is always so incredible and this piece didn't disappoint either. I am a sucker for things with words.
