Just a little doodle today.

The sun is shinning, 3rd day in a row.  Cold, frosty mornings and 60 degree afternoons.  Just how it should be this time of year.  Of course the rain will be back tomorrow, but we got to enjoy the rays for a few days.

Haven't made much progress on my collage, although I did add some strips of tissue paper.  I hope to work on it more this weekend.

But I have finished all my postcards for the swap over at ihanna's.  Since I had such fun working on the small size, and it is an easy take along project, I started doodling on note cards.  They are the color of brown paper bags.  I really like the look of the black ink on the brown cardstock.  I've got quite a few made already, I guess I should sell them so I can buy more cardstock.

The card looks a little lighter in the picture then it should.  But you get the idea.

I'm debating whether to post to my Etsy shop or maybe just put them on My Shop page with a PayPal payment badge.

Where are you having the best luck?  I know I haven't done the "marketing" I need to do and I seem to be hit and miss with my blog lately.  I've had so little time to create much to post or keep up with some of the challenges.

My goal has been to build up sales of my art to supplement my income so I could retire and do this 24/7.  My sister says I should just quit so I can focus on my art, but that's a bit scary.  I need the income to be able to do my art.  I just get frustrated some days and this is one of them.  Tomorrow will be better it's Saturday.

Thanks for visiting and listening to me whine.  Have a great weekend and find some time to create.

It seems like the key to etsy success is the very best photographs of your work. Clear natural light - excellent focus - close ups - etc. It also helps to participate in forming circles and treasuries. It can be a lot of work maintaining that kind of activity - but since I've worked harder on my shop's presentation (and the social network), my sales have really picked up.

Your card looks great! I can't be much help on the selling part. I tried Etsy but it takes a lot of time and work to maintain a presence there and I didn't keep up with it.
