I couldn't believe what I had after I got home and emptied the bag, a real find for so little cost. I love using wood in my collages. I already added some small round wood dots to my newest collage that I started this weekend.
Here's the first layers. I started with torn pages from an old James Bond paperpack book. This gave me the idea to go along with the story so I added things that could be considered clues.
It's ready for the next layer now. Maybe a little paint, more tissue, and...................................
This is what I started with, a 12 x 12 square wood box with 1 1/2" sides. The smooth wood surface works really well for collage. I think I need to put in a supply. What I really like about this kind of project is I can work on it over time. You just can't push to finish this type of collage. I need to look at it a couple of days to figure where to go next. And then I also have to peruse through my stash to see what pops out at me that I can use.
This week is off and running. Hope you all had a great weekend. We hand a gorgeous Sunday, the temp even went over 60. Back to normal today it's raining.
I'm joining in Creative Every Day Challenge over at Leah's blog. You might want to check to see what everyone is working on currently.
Thanks for visiting.

You got a deal with that jar of wood pieces. I love browsing through antique stores...how fun that your grandson enjoys it, too.
Your new collage is looking good. I'll have to try one of those wood boxes.
Wow so much! Love what you're making. Zo xx
