Also it's Wednesday and time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.
The project on my desk is a fabric weaving wall hanging that I have been embellishing. I wanted to keep within the natural color tones so have added wood beads and cutouts. Recycled glass beads, old buttons, used guitar strings and branches from plants in my yard. It's been fun to play with. I don't feel quite done yet, maybe a few small additions. I like this kind of project, something that is easy to work on over a period of time. I'll add something then walk away, next time I come back I'll see something else that could be added. I think that's what I like about collage, on canvas or fabric. You don't have to see the whole thing at one time. Each time you come back to it you have a fresh eye. Of course some time is spend looking through files, drawers, bins and shelves for something that is the right color or unique item to work into the collage. That's why we have so much stuff. You never know what you might be able to use. I've been trying not to buy so much and try to use what I already have.
It feels so good to get back in the swing, I haven't worked on a collage since I started this months ago.
Hop on over the Julia's and see what everyone else is up to this week.
Thanks for visiting.
Hugs
Cyndee

wow your studio looks amazing as well as your wall hanging
Oh great stuff Cyndee, how I like the idea f the collage slowly coming together..I think being patient and allowing yourself the time to build it up, walk around it a little is such a skill. I like the natural colour tone, it will be a really honest and 'peaceful' finished piece I think.
Cyndee, Love your weaving, it looks "done" to me! But I know what you mean, somethings you have to walk away and look with fresh eyes. Like the stool you did too. Have a great weekend, Laura
I look forward to seeing your finished hanging. Your craft room looks like a very creative place.
