Tone on Tone Fabric Weave

My first collage of the new year, finished.  I've woven in fabric from my great grandmothers handmade quilt, fabric from my daughters wedding dress, used guitar strings, old buttons, recycled beads, sheet music and twigs and branches from my garden.

It's been months since I worked on a collage, it felt so good.  I've been so wrapped up in my doodles lately, sales and the holidays there was just no leisure time to work on a collage.  Although I enjoy doodling it doesn't give me the same satisfaction as working on a collage.

Thought you might like to see the finished piece, since I didn't consider it complete when I posted it on Wednesday sitting on my sewing table.

Thanks for visiting, hope you have a great weekend.  I'm headed out for a walk this morning.  Been to cold and a little icy to get out lately.
