I have posted so little in the last few months, I was so busy working on selling at fairs and outdoor markets that I had no time to even think about my post. After posting yesterday the ideas just started flowing again.
It's been awhile since a participated in anything on line I thought I'd join in. So here I am on Wednesday, a great time to share with everybody over at Stamping Grounds, What's on you Workdesk Wednesday. It's always fun to see where other artisans work and check in on their projects.

So here's my workdesk today. I'm detailing an unfinished Ikea stool that my daughter had already painted in her kitchen and family room colors.
I've already finished some stenciling on the top, I'm going to do a checkerboard pattern around the edge of the top and step. Then distress all the edges with a gold paint. She didn't want to much detail but she really liked the distressed corners like the stool in my post yesterday.
Here's another look at the top and a shot to show the colors I'm working with. A fun and easy project. But as soon as this is out of the way I can get back to some other things I started months ago.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you are having a great Wednesday. Half way through the week already.

Hello! I'm new to WOYWW but I wanted to say that stool is beautiful!
Thanks for your visit today and your kind comments on my desk. It actually got worse today, if you can believe that. I like what you are doing with that stool, but I would be nervous of using it when you have created such a work of art. Have a great crafting week. xx Maggie #32

Fabby stool, very cool. So was it you who ate all the cupcakes, lol!! I'm a bit scared to touch them actually, we could be tripping for days! I'm very envious that you have visited the Chihuly Gardens, that's a place I'd love to see one day.

This looks custom made and is very pretty, Cyndee! Just love the details!!
The stool is beautiful. I do like things that are customised so that people who have the same thing don't recognise it!
Thank you so much for visiting,
Rachel
The stenciling makes the stool a piece of art as well as a tool. :-)
