Walk and Click Wednesday

Not been around to blog hop.  This last week was a bit stressful.  My sister was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night Friday.  It turned out to be a flu bug and infection.  It doesn't take much to knock her down these days, she is pretty frail.  The family moved her to a memory care facility a few months back because the assisted living home she was in just couldn't offer her the additional care she needed.  Her hospital stay was so frustrating for her, she doesn't understand where she is or what's happening to her.  She is better now and was able to go back to memory care last Tuesday instead of what we feared would happen, the doctors first wanted her to go to rehab to gain her strength back.  Once she was feeling better she wanted out, and kept setting off the hospital bed alarm when she'd get up on her own.

Work has added to the stress last week.  It seem like when it rains it pours.  Some of my work stress is simply, I don't want to be there anymore.  I find myself less tolerable of  inefficiencies,  and antiquated systems.

But the weekend was relaxed and laid back.  Saturday started with a long walk.  The next neighborhood over from me has a really nice wooded trail that meanders behind the homes.  Since we hadn't had any rain for a few days I figured I could tackle the trail.

The trail is pretty densely wooded so there is lots of bright green moss and a windy path. Very peaceful. The quiet I needed. Just what I needed.

Thanks for visiting. Get out for a walk you'll feel so much better, don't forget to click those photos and join Lissa over at http://www.lafcustomdesigns.com/.

See you soon.

Hugs

Sorry to hear about all the stress you are under right now. Being at a job you don't want to be at anymore is so frustrating. Sounds like you needed that relaxing walk on Saturday, and such beautiful scenery. Visiting from Walk and Click Wednesday.

After an ordeal like that, one needs a long pleasant walk in the woods. Hope all goes well for your sister - and you too!

Cyndee, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. Not having work that invites one to be present is challenging at best, been there. Walking is a great way of self-care and I'm glad to hear it worked and helped you to feel better. This is what got me started walking and clicking in 2010 ... then I called my walks The Stroll. Keep it up, my friend. It helps to change perspective, if only for a short time. Thanks for sharing in Walk and Click Wednesdays!

I'm so sorry about your sister, but glad she's better. I hope work gets better - or you find something you enjoy more! The green of that moss is amazing!!

I think moss is pretty - not so much when it burn away - when it's all aglow I love to photograph it too.
